Melo uncertain of future, Knicks see one without him

Knicks leave out Carmelo Anthony in team’s season tickets advertisement.

Throughout the offseason Anthony has been linked to either landing with Cleveland Cavaliers or Houston Rockets as those were reportedly the only two teams he’d wave his no-trade clause for. With no moves being made Anthony told ESPN he’s uncertain what will happen. With the New York Knicks leaving out Anthony on the team advertisement, according to “The Fumble,” does this mean Knicks see a near future with Anthony not in the picture.

Despite a time where he and his wife, La La, separated and being involved in trade talks he says he’s found his happiness this past summer.

“This past time has been a rollercoaster for me but I’m just trying to enjoy this time right now,” Anthony told ESPN. “I’m going on my days, I’m in the gym. I’m working, I’m doing my charity work, I’m doing my community work.

There’s only two things this 14-year veteran and three time team USA Olympic gold medalist is looking to do.

“Just winning a championship and at this point having fun playing the game of basketball again,” Anthony told ESPN. “Keeping that motivation and that passion…when you are not enjoying the game everything else is just 10-times worser. I never lost my passion for it, I never lost my motivation for it. I lost my joy for it a little bit due to everything that’s been surrounding me but I’m starting to find my happiness, my joy for the game.”

So will he leave New York?

“At this point I think we kind of know where we all stand,” Anthony told ESPN. “We’re just going to see what happens. I just want to enjoy my offseason despite everything that’s happened to me and just go from there.”
