A retirement, a birthday bash and a flag football debut, June has been quite the month for Michael Vick.
Just a few weeks after Vick officially called a quits to his NFL career and only a day after his 37th birthday he put on a dominating performance in his American Flag Football League debut as a starting quarterback. Throwing his way across the field, Vick accumulated 547 passing yards with eight touchdowns, according to AJC.com.
“Terrell still has game. He still looks like he could play in the National Football League,” Vick said. “Chad still got the quick feet and that’s what he was known for.”
Vick hooked up with Johnson for a touchdown in AFFL.
Owens also added a touchdown to his stat line during the inaugural game as well.
Just like Ice Cube is bringing back older basketball athletes that can still compete at a high level in BIG3, AFFL seems to be the platform where aging football athletes can go to showcase they still have talent in a safer but still competitive atmosphere.
