Troy Aikman and Jay Z are not the only NFL-celebrity lookalike out there.
In January, Fox sports broadcaster and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Aikman had a photo that went viral. The photo showed similar features between the three-time Super Bowl champion and hip-hop mogul Shawn “Jay Z” Carter. In addition to these two, here are 10 other NFL figures and celebrity lookalikes, in no particular order.
- Matt Forte and Common.
Former Chicago Bear and current running back for the New York Jets, Forte, shows similarities to the Chicago raised music artist Common. Common recently made the news for rejecting President Donald Trump’s threat to send federal agents to the streets of Chicago. Common said he and community leaders in Chicago will work together in efforts to reduce violence in the “Windy City.”
- Teddy Bridgewater and actor Daniel Kaluuya.
Minnesota Vikings quarterback Bridgewater, who missed the entire 2016 season following a non-contact injury where he dislocated his knee tearing his ACL, has a striking resemblance to 27-year-old actor Kaluuya. Kaluuya stars in Jordan Peele’s (Keanu) new film Get Out, plays in theater’s February 24.
- Ezekiel Elliot and Kanye West
Elliot, the Dallas Cowboys rookie running back who took the NFL by storm this season, looks a little like Kanye. The controversial rapper who canceled the rest of his Saint Pablo due to exhaustion the past fall has hit a rock in his relationship with Kim Kardashian. The two are trying to reconcile and make their marriage work.
- Mark Sanchez and Mark Consuelos
Dallas Cowboys backup quarterback and mentor to rookie sensation Dak Prescott is starting to look like Consuelos. The 30-year-old quarterback was well known for his play as a USC standout and his back-to-back AFC Championship appearances in his first two seasons with the New York Jets. He still holds the record for most playoff wins as a rookie, tied with Joe Flacco with two. Consuelos will be busy this week co-hosting with his wife Kelly Ripa on Live with Kelly! and recently appeared in FOX’s new drama about a female baseball pitcher playing in the MLB, Pitch.
- Mike Tomlin and Bishop Eddie L. Long
Steelers head coach Tomlin and the late Bishop Eddie L. Long who famously led a multi-million dollar megachurch and allegedly sexually abused child members in his congregation passed away last month. He led the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church that frequently held events in the Georgia Dome, which will now become the former home of the Atlanta Falcons after the team played its final game there in January. Earlier this season former Steeler Terry Bradshaw called out Tomlin saying he’s more of a “cheerleader” than a “coach.” Tomlin responded by leading the Steelers to its third AFC Championship appearance under his leadership.
- Russell Wilson and Tristan Wilds
Wilson recently lost to the Atlanta Falcons in the NFL Divisional round with his wife’s, Ciara, baby daddy Future in attendance. Following the game a viral message on social media with Wilson and Ciara was posted and he said as long as he is with his wife he’s always a winner. The two are expecting a baby soon. Wilson’s celebrity look alike Wilds (90210) who took a year off of acting not too long ago to focus on music is back on television featured in VH1’s The Breaks (2016) TV movie that will continue with a television series February 20.
- Mike Tomlin and Omar Epps
In case you were wondering doesn’t Tomlin look like that actor from The Wood? There is a resemblance between these two start. Epps recently starred in David E. Talbert’s Almost Christmas (2016).
- Chad Johnson and DMX
Johnson was not an elect for the Hall of Fame this year but has been on record stating that one day he should. On Super Bowl Sunday he appeared in a celebrity bowling match against friend, co-star in the Tocho Show and former teammate Terrell Owens. Meanwhile, DMX is trying to make a comeback and is a step closer after dropping his track “Bain Iz Back” in January.
- Mark Sanchez and Adrian Grenier
When Sanchez was in his early 20’s as a standout at USC, he showed striking similarities to Grenier (Entourage). Sanchez has gone on record saying if someone were to play him in a movie it would be Grenier. The actor has recently been using his time to promote humanitarian efforts such as saving dogs and taking his stand against President Donald Trump and his policies.
- Daunte Culpepper and Dr. Dre
“Get your roll on, everybody get your [expletive] roll on.” Culpepper’s signature was his “roll on” dance that he would do walking out of the tunnel onto the field in the Metrodome. The All-Pro quarterback who once held the record for total yards in 2004 (breaking then Dan Marino’s mark) looked similar to music icon Dr. Dre. The Founder and CEO of Aftermath Entertainment and Beats Electronics is typically “always into to something” so look out for what he does next.
1 Troy Aikman and Jay Z
This discovery last month went viral on Twitter. These two have been in the spotlight for years so it’s unique how once the idea was brought to social media it spread like wildfire.
